In this episode of the EU Energy Projects Podcast, four projects, including RESONANCE, explain how they are advancing energy flexibility, digitalisation and decarbonisation across Europe.
The projects, RESONANCE, INDEPENDENT, GLocalFlex and ELEXIA, touch upon the enablers and barriers to building a smarter European energy system, from digital infrastructure and market design to cross-sector coupling.
From the RESONANCE perspective, the discussion highlights the importance of developing a robust digital infrastructure for renewable energy optimisation.
This includes software modularity and standardised interfaces that enable the seamless integration and automated management of flexible energy resources. At the heart of this approach are interoperability, standardisation and reusability. These principles support scalable deployment across Europe while still allowing solutions to adapt to the national, societal and individual contexts of each member state.
