In her presentation at the Energy Nexus Cluster Seminar on 8 June, Sohvi Virkkula from VTT addressed the need for automated integration and interoperability of energy systems and resources to support the management of energy flexibility in buildings.
Drawing on research conducted in the RESONANCE and INDEPENDENT projects, Sohvi Virkkula presented the use of Large Language Models to automatically generate semantic adapters that enable different systems and resources to communicate and work together.
This approach reduces the manual effort and domain expertise currently required to integrate heterogeneous systems, paving the way for more scalable and efficient energy flexibility management.
