The RESONANCE project has released the final version of its Data and Service Marketplace, which has been developed by partners European Dynamics. The digital Marketplace is a unified online hub where organisations can publish, discover, exchange and deploy digital energy solutions, marking a considerable step toward a more connected, data-driven and flexible European energy ecosystem.

Data access and commercial service catalogues

At its core, the Marketplace integrates two complementary components within a single user-friendly environment. The Data Marketplace enables organisations to share or request high-quality datasets, ranging from smart meter data and weather information to building performance logs and flexibility metrics, while retaining full sovereignty over access and usage. Through structured metadata, access policies, subscription workflows and support for both real-time (MQTT) and on-demand (HTTP/UI) data exchange, users can collaborate securely and efficiently.

Alongside, the Service Marketplace functions as a digital catalogue and commercial interface for energy-related software tools. Technology providers can publish services from the Resource Manager, Customer Energy Manager and Aggregation catalogues, define pricing schemes and manage sales. Buyers can browse available services, complete purchases through secure Stripe-based payments, and even trigger automatic deployment of purchased services through the project’s VTT Data Space Innovation Lab (DSIL) infrastructure. A built-in rating and review system further enhances transparency and user-driven improvement.

User-friendly and technically sound

The latest release places strong emphasis on ease of use, featuring a streamlined interface, improved navigation, personalised dashboards, real-time notifications and a unified search system across both marketplaces. Developers benefit from complete REST API documentation, while end users enjoy intuitive workflows for actions such as creating Topics, publishing services, consuming data or finalising purchases. Behind the scenes, the Marketplace relies on a robust technical foundation.

Identity and Access Management via Keycloak, shared pricing and transaction modules, persistent logging and topic-based taxonomies ensure compliance, interoperability and semantic clarity. Meanwhile, tight integration with the DSIL’s automated CI/CD pipeline enables rapid deployment and replication across Europe.

By simplifying access to data and digital energy services, the RESONANCE Marketplace lowers barriers for start-ups, SMEs, researchers, aggregators and energy service providers. It provides the infrastructure needed to develop, validate, and scale advanced solutions for demand-side flexibility, cross-sector optimisation and AI-driven control. With this final release, RESONANCE offers a powerful tool to accelerate Europe’s transition toward a smarter, more interoperable and more resilient energy landscape.
